National Tay-Sachs & Allied Diseases Association of Delaware Valley (NTSAD-DV) has developed a new video to help educate the community about Tay-Sachs and Canavan disease. “Knowledge is Power – Check out your gene pool” is an 11 minute video featuring interviews with a physician, genetic counselor and 2 families directly affected by Tay-Sachs and Canavan.

We believe this video is appropriate for teenagers through adult viewers. We highly recommend it for individual classes studying genetics. Both diseases are explained in terms easily understood by a lay person. The concepts of how these diseases are inherited and prevention are outlined in easy to understand language.
